I had the opportunity to see Chris Gardner live about a year ago--he's one of the best speakers I've ever heard in my life, and you can't help but leave one of his talks with no excuses on not succeeding. Here are some links to videos of one of his talks. (There is adult language at a few places, so parents will need to preview it.)

I loved the movie, but his actual story is more incredible--given his son was an infant!
